The Miniature Pinscher is more popularly known as the Min Pin, and is fancied as a toy dog. It hunts rats and vermin, and means a dwarf and a biter combined, in German. The Miniature Pinscher is considered to be the King of all the toy dogs, and is one of the oldest terrier breeds. It is a very popular breed amongst all the toy dogs, and people are just compelled to pick up one of these little fellas!
The Chihuahua is another member of the toy dog breed. The short haired Chihuahua is one of the most popularly sold dogs, as they are exceptionally tiny. They are compact and stout, and occupy very little space. They do not shed hair, which is another feather in their cap, to increase their popularity amongst people. They are only 6 to 9 inches tall, and weigh around 1 to 6 kg.
The King Charles spaniel, known as the English toy spaniel, is another breed belonging to the famous category of toy dogs. These furry creatures are a sheer delight to look at, and are sometimes recognized as King Charles spaniel. They are a mixture of the Pug and the Cocker Spaniel in the looks department.
The Pekingese is known as a Lion Dog, and are ancient in their popularity. They originate from China, are well-known for their fame in the Chinese Imperial Court. This breed is over 2000 years old, and has air in all the possible color combinations. They come in numerous colors like gold, cream, red, silver or sable and retain their popularity over the years.
The Poodle is a show dog. They are considered to be the most fashionable and pretty dogs of all times, and come in a variety of colors, like red, brown, silver or apricot. The Miniature Poodle is a very popular pooch, and weighs about 5 to 10 kg.
The Pug is a toy dog, who has a typically recognized furrowed and creased face and a medium-sized body. Pugs are an endearing and cute breed amongst toy dogs, and weigh about 15 to 30 lbs. They are extremely short, and have expressive and huge eyes.
