Most of the people who own a dog, should know that there are several different ways in which a dog plays. The different ways of playing of dogs can be easily recognized on carefully observing the habits of the dog. There are various kinds of games which can be enjoyed by the dogs out there. Manipulation games: These are one of the most common games involved in by the dogs. These games mainly involve some kind of object while the dog smells, pushes, bites and plays with the object. The main objective of the games is to provide the dog with an understanding of its surrounding environment. This is a game providing the dog with an in depth understanding of its surrounding along with objects which can be played with and which can be harmful. According to the experts it is very important that the dogs are provided with objects to play with that are meant specially for it. It should never be allowed to grab objects on its will or liked by it. Some of the most common objects grabbed by dogs include shoes which should always be kept out of reach.
Movement games: These are games with the main motive of empowering the dog to know its movements along with the capacity of its limbs. The dog jumps, falls down and again gets back to the game. All of the above movements provide the dog with an understanding of its body while improving its movement skills. The young pups should indulge in these kinds of games the most. On the part of the dog owners it should be remembered that the puppy should never be consoled immediately after falling down, neither should it be helped in getting up. It is better if the dog is allowed sometime to get up on its own.
Fighting games and persecution: This is one of the games which will empower the dog to differentiate between a fight and a play fight. It is seen that most of the puppies that are not trained well find it very difficult to differentiate between the above things. This is a major reason for most of the puppies turning hostile while developing behavioral changes making it a biting dog. One of the biggest advantages of play fighting is the inhibition of biting habits of the dog. It should be remembered that a dog never bites while playing thus, on the part of the owner allowing the puppy to bite while playing can be a very big mistake.
Social games: Social games have the main motive of establishing a cordial relationship in between the new born puppy and its mother along with the other members of the herd. Some of the social games can also include the mother of the puppy. Some of the most common games include fighting along with persecution. Playful combat along with the game of possession which includes puppies fighting with an object are some of the other games which feature in social games.
