Dogs, General

Puppies are very cute and adorable. They are very fun loving and always very playful. Puppies can be very cute and cuddly but at the same time they need a lot of care and should be monitored all the time. The diet of a puppy is very important as it will determine the health of the puppy. Any flaw in the diet may be fatal for the puppy. Feeding is very important for a puppy as it requires regular food. Proper food will provide the dog with all essential nutrients that will help the dog to remain active and grow properly. The food of a puppy should have proteins, fat, vitamins, carbohydrates and also essential minerals. All these components are very important and make sure that it is supplied in proper ratios needed by the puppy. Protein is an important component for the growth of the pup. It helps in building muscles and also repair any damaged tissue. It is needed in a higher amount for puppies and also for fully grown dogs.

When a puppy grows up into an adult, the nutritional needs will change and the owner should make the necessary changes in the diet plan of the puppy. Personal taste of the dog also is very important as the food favoured by one dog will be disliked by another dog. The most famous and common form of dog food are tinned meat that is usually mixed with a biscuit. Dry foods are becoming more and more popular as it is easy to feed and liked by the dogs. Dry diets have a lot of advantages for both the dogs and the owners. Dry foods are very hygienic and it can be purchased in bulk and stored easily. The food should have a balanced nutrient content as more or less will create complications in the mechanism of the body. Many manufacturers are producing different range of dog food for small and half grown dogs. It is very tasty and the dog easily accepts it into its diet. Giving the dog dry food will help keeping the dogs teeth clean. The dog food products come with a scoop that will help in giving the right proportion to the puppy. It is better to avoid moist food items as it will invite flies and cannot be stored as it will get spoilt.

Tinned meats have very high protein content that can be fed along with some dry mixers that is a carbohydrate source. It is one of the most popular ways of feeding the dogs. The only consideration is to mix both components in the right proportion. Manufacturers also make canned food items that are a ready to feed mixture. While feeding tidbits as rewards make sure that the bit is small and makes the puppy want more. The bit should not be very big as it will turn into a meal rather than a reward. Always keep in mind that the puppy should not be overfed as it will become obese and start becoming lazy. It will also create some problems in its adult life.
